After multiple years of important effort of R&D, ALPHELYS is now releasing its biobank data base CRESALYS®.
CRESALYS® is a data base that computerizes the management of your biobank.
It hosts annotations and products descriptions including storage environment and location, preparation, transformation and quality control.
CRESALYS® is the ideal tool for the management of biobanks of tissue specimen and biological fluids including their derivatives like DNA, RNA, proteins, cells, etc.
CRESALYS® proposes interfaces dedicated for human and animal specimen management.
ALPHELYS is currently developing evolution for the management of biobanks of non-human, non-animal specimens.
CRESALYS® is a tool easy to use and to operate but also very sophisticated by its content of annotations and the diversity of the information managed as well as by the display of this large volume of information. |

| CRESALYS® guarantees traceability of your Biobank |
 |
By describing your products into CRESALYS®, you are guaranteeing a complete traceability of origins, uses, preparations and locations of them.
CRESALYS® includes additionally a complete audit trail that registers any data modification into the data base by any user.
For each product, tube, slide, patient, animal, CRESALYS® attributes a non-modifiable number that identifies uniquely each of them.
CRESALYS® complies the most stringent traceability and audit regulations and facilitates or is in accordance with the accreditation of your biobank.

| CRESALYS® secures access to your biobank data and private data |
 |
CRESALYS® allows creation of user profiles that define access rights to the data base. User access can be restricted by collection but also more in details by interface to limit access to certain types of products or to some specialized interfaces like clinical report or pathology report for data capture fro example. Equally, user access can be restricted by project i.e. user could only access the products and associated patient data when the products are identified to be restricted in use for the project.
CRESALYS® also restricts access to private data. The principle of access restriction is based on the fact that private data can only be viewed by individuals from the department through at which patient was either examined or specimens collected and analyzed.
Access rights are fully parameterized by the administrator of the data base and the manager of the collection. |

| CRESALYS® centralizes the management of multiple Biobanks |
 |
CRESALYS® allows the management of multiple biobanks in the same data base. Biobanks can be owned by different institutions/individuals and can be located in different sites. Centralization of multiple biobanks does not imply centralization of the collections physically. Through network and internet, CRESALYS® allows access from the different managed biobanks for the follow-up and dapa capture.
Centralized data management, especially at the scale of a city or even a region, facilitates the compilation of different products data associated with the same patients that have possibly consulted different institutions.
Research projects are powered by opening access to complete inheritance of specimens from the patient, whether tissues, blood, urine or other type of samplings from which research will benefit from their study.
Moreover, centralized management of collections throughout different institutions guarantees a higher content of data compiled from the different departments and specialties visited by the patient. |

| CRESALYS® provides unique high content annotations |

Because doing fundamental or clinical research on specimens with limited annotations reduces strongly the possibilities to identify new biomarkers or new therapy, CRESALYS® has been specifically designed to host a unique and unequalled high content of annotations.
CRESALYS® proposes preset interfaces for clinical and pathology reports that allow capturing large number of data that will be highly valuable information when selecting the specimen to do research on. CRESALYS® also proposes interfaces to inform patient histories and environment of life, parameters that can be factors of disease appearance or aggravating factors.

| CRESALYS® is ready-to-use and uses highly flexible interfaces to evolve with your needs |

CRESALYS® is a fully pre-parameterized data base where interfaces are proposing all and any data fields that you may require in the course of the management of your biobank.
This guarantees that you will be able to start operations very quickly with limited efforts from your side as well as no special expertise like IT, data base administration, etc.
Because you cannot afford to spend weeks or months in setting up interfaces and data fields, CRESALYS® is a product ready-to-use for biologists and has been designed specifically for. |

| However, although all interfaces are created to answer all of your desires, CRESALYS® is not a rigid product. On the contrary, CRESALYS® is highly flexible. It contains a vast majority of data fields that are editable (which list of choice can be modified) drop down lists or editable tables, as you can see examples here below. You can then make CRESALYS® evolve every day along your needs with new projects. |

| CRESALYS® allows exhaustive queries of annotations |
 |
Capturing high volume of annotations into a data base has only one interest: to be utilized optimally. Therefore, CRESALYS® provides an advanced search interface that allows querying any of the annotations and data hosted into the data base.
Query results are displayed into a table sheet format that can be readily exported into excel. |

| CRESALYS® reduces starting efforts by importing backlog data |
The starting of a CRESALYS® application is strongly facilitated by the opportunity to import backlog data directly without hand typing.
ALPHELYS provides directly this service to CRESALYS® customers at purchase of CRESALYS®.
Indeed, backlog data can be heterogeneous in format and organization thus making direct import very complex or even worse dangerous for data quality into the data base. Therefore, ALPHELYS always analyze the data and “standardize” them before arranging the automated import into your data base.
ALPHELYS can provide data import services of different formats of data: Excel, Access, File Maker pro or even paper based data.
