PSA® Parafin Sectionning Kit
For the cutting and mounting of parafin sections of Tissue Array
PSA® is an exclusive patented technique to help for the cutting and the mounting of tissue array sections in parafin.

PSA®

- Produces 5 times more sections out of a tissue array block
- Preserves tissue array organisation for an easier analysis
- Eliminates folds, compressions or tears for a reliable interpretation
- Provides a strong attachment even for fatty cores
- Quick and easy to use, ideal for routine use
PSA® : premium quality sections in parafin, a simple and quick technique !

1 Place the PSA® tape on the face of the block in the microtome chuck.

2 Cut. Your section is directly transferred to the tape.

3 Roll the PSA® tape on the PSA® slide.

4 Illuminate the slide for a few seconds under UV lamp. Multiple slides can be illuminated at the same time.

5 Dip the slide into the TPC inert solvent, peel off the tape. The tissue section is transferred to the slide, ready for fixation, staining or labelling along standard histological procedures.

6 A preserved tissue array organisation and tissue cores completely collected on the slide.
PSA® produces up to 5 times more tissue sections out of a tissue array block

Cutting tissue sections embedded into parafin is not an easy operation to reproduce with quality. Tissue texture, parafin type, ambient conditions make the preparation of good-enought quality section difficult and waste is huge, from 50 up to 80 % of the block. It is as much precious samples that go to waste, every time you cut.
Thanks to PSA®, each cutting tried generates a good section. You save on time and on frequently rare samples. The section, sticking to the PSA®, is surprisingly very easy to handle and to mount on the slide. Better quality, more reliable diagnosis.

PSA® preserves tissue array organisation for an easier analysie

PSA® preserves geometry of the tissue array when cutting the block and mounting onto the slide. When tissue array morphology is preserved, browsing is easier and reduces errors of position, particularly when analyzing the tissue arrays manually.

PSA® eliminates folds, compressions, tears and tissue cores losess for a perfect interpretation

PSA® eliminates folds, tears or cores losses that occur when cutting or mounting a tissue array section onto a slide. Adhering to the PSA® tape, the tissue array section stays perfectly in place until mounting. You preserved a high number of tissue cores on your slide for a more interpretable experiment.

PSA® provides a strong attachment to the slide for fatty tissues

Tissue sections adhere significantly differently upon tissue type and give constraints as to the experimental conditions to avoid section to be released from the slide. PSA® slides are coated with a polymer that cures under UVs and provides a strong attachment to the section whatever the tissue is wet or fatty. The attachement is resistant to proteases, alcaline or acid solvents and most of solvents.

PSA® is quick and easy to use, ideal for routine work

PSA® technique is delivered as a kit ready for use including accessories and a starter kit fo disposables. Disposables can then be purchased separately. Once technique in hands, the use of the kit reveales simple and quick.
