MTABooster ® is a retrofit kit to any manual tissue arrayer of model 1 (MTA1) from Beecher Instruments Inc. It is based on two electronic motors that are installed in place of the manual micrometers. Positioning of the punches above the recipient blocks is automated and fast. The kit includes TMADesigner ® , a software developed by ALPHELYS. TMADesigner ® automates the design of your tissue arrays in minute time on your computer whatever the format or the size of your tissue arrays. |

Create errors-free tissue arrays
TMADesigner ® automatically programs tissue arrays that are fully customized to your needs. You can adjust punch size, spot spacing, grid dimensions, number of spots, tissue types, number and positions of replicates.No more copy-paste into Excel, no mistakes due to re-typing: import directly your list of donor blocks IDs. TMADesigner ® allows prospective as well as retrospective tissue arrays construction. Patient data can be integrated the same automatic way into your tissue array program. The program is transferred to the MTABooster ® key to be directly read on MTABooster ® for the construction. The screen of the keyboard displays instructions to the operator: donor block ID to choose, tissue type to collect, recipient block ID to use, position ID
and coordinates of spot.

MTABooster ® can be installed in few minutes without special expertise. No modification of your manual tissue arrayer is required. The kit is supplied with all necessary tools for installation on site. You may otherwise require local support. We have distributors active in many countries, see our section on our web site to find contact details. You may also send your tissue arrayer to us with our carrier services: no worries, no troubles.
Just pack your tissue arrayer and send it back to us, you'll get it back in less than a week from any location round the world. At any time, the MTABooster ® kit can be removed from the instrument to return the tissue arrayer to its original state.
Can I upgrade my manual tissue arrayer ?
Any model MTA1 from Beecher Instruments Inc since 1999 until late 2005 is upgradeable. Ask for more recent versions of model MTA1. The kit is not compatible with Beecher Instruments Inc manual tissue arrayers model MTA2
