Tissue Array ...
Tissue array is a technique that allows to deposit on one single slide many hundreds of tissue sections. It is a very powerful tool to explore tissues to discover and to validate new therapeutic markers identified by molecular methods such as DNA chips, mass spec, Q-PCR, laser microdissection. Tissue array allows screening large numbers of patients. Studies are far more statistically significant. Tissue array is also a very economical tool by reducing consumption of precious tissue specimens and reagents. |
Tissue array map design totally automated !
Design of tissue array and populating it is very time-consuming by which you will have to associate for each tissue array position a patient block ID and a tissue type to be collected.
Upon size of your tissue array map, this step, usually realized under MS Excel, will take considerable time on you, up to many hours.
ALPHELYS developed TMADesigner®, a software that fully automates design and population of tissue array map from a patients blocks IDs list.
Design errors are eliminated.

TMADesigner® produces then a file which can either be printed under Excel or directly saved into MTABooster® key that is used to drive your tissue arrayer motorized with MTABooster® kit .

The file describes Patient block ID, tissue type and duplicate recipient block ID for each spot position.
Used in conjunction with a manual tissue arrayer, you simply have to follow instructions to ensure a good level of traceability as well as save on time and errors

Ensures a perfect traceability
TMADesigner® guarantees traceability associated with MTABooster® . At end of construction, TMADesigner® file which is hosted in the MTABooster® key can be read into TMADesigner®. The file has been automatically added with day and time of sample core transfer to recipient block as well as status of transfer. This last data will be useful during spot analysis and statistical processing of results. |
